USCG Capt Jeff Van Remortel is a professional musky fishing guide, waterfowl hunting guide, accomplished tournament angler and seminar speaker based out of Minocqua, WI. He is the owner of WDH Guide Service which serves all of Vilas, Oneida, Iron and Price Counties. Recent highlights include a client-caught, world record class tiger musky (52″) from Vilas County, WI in August 2014 and an average of 116 northern WI muskies (average length 37”) in the boat each season over the past 4 years. He is also the current record holder for the most fish and most inches ever registered in the NCMO, the largest musky tournament in the world (National Championship Musky Open) with a record setting 6 fish victory in 2012.

John began guiding almost 40 years ago and fishes full-time as the owner of the Ottawa River Musky Factory.  He has gained an excellent reputation in the musky world for his understanding of musky behavior and his ability to find the right tactics and time to catch the biggest muskies north of the border.  An experienced seminar speaker, writer, a public representative of Muskies Canada, veteran of numerous television programs, and an environmentalist, John draws on his vast experience to create the trip of a lifetime for anglers from all over the world on the Ottawa and St Lawrence Rivers.
